The Effect of Information Acquisition Ability on Farmers’ Agricultural Productive Service Behavior: An Empirical Analysis of Corn Farmers in Northeast China

Agricultural productive services are an important means to achieve effective allocation of regional resources and play role in ensuring food security improving farmers’ welfare. However, the development process agricultural still faces problems such as large differences service levels different segments low participation rates full service. In order investigate influential paths rate farmers full-service process, this study takes maize northeast China research object. Based on 937 survey data from six cities three northeastern provinces, we used Item Response Theory (IRT) model measure information acquisition ability constructed Heckman two-stage IV-Heckman analyze logical framework “information ability—farmers’ choice services”. The main findings follows: firstly, more channels there are, stronger channel internalities; higher degree differentiation, internalities. Second, after addressing sample selection bias endogeneity, is a small rise facilitation effect behavior. Third, achieved through perceived usefulness services, mediating ease use not significant.
